Since the creation of RPP Containers in 1998, environmental
sustainability has been one of our top priorities. Here at RPP Containers, we exhibit a great focus on our
recycling program, which has led to millions of pounds of plastic being recycled and kept out of landfills over the past two decades. We are highly committed to this practice in our own facility, and by starting from within, we have reached thousands of customers and helped them do the same to reduce their carbon footprint. Customers and vendors alike have been able to supply us with loads of material to either recycle or refurbish, which increases the container's lifespan and continues the lifecycle.
RPP Containers is widely known for its exceptional brand of refurbished containers- a brand we are proud to call; RefurBest. We take great pride in ensuring that all used containers that come through our door have gone through a full-scale quality check, providing substance to the name RefurBest. Our dedication to providing the best-refurbished containers also goes hand in hand with our commitment to keeping containers out of landfills by reducing our carbon footprint.
The first step in this process includes the form-fit-function inspection. During this step, we separate the repairable units from the broken beyond repair units. Repairable units typically consist of containers with small holes that would be patchable or small cracks that can be welded. Other standard things we see in repairable containers are damaged hinges, rods, and latches. When a container is broken beyond repair, it will usually display cracks or breaks at the base of the container, which creates issues with the unit's structural integrity- deeming it unrepairable.
With all this being said, I want to highlight a recent example that we hope will make a great impact not only on our customers but also on the environment. One of our most popular container options is the CenterFlow Hopper Bottom Container. This is a renowned container among the agricultural industry that seed dealers, farmers, breweries, etc., have been using for years and will continue to use for years to come. They can hold up to 68 cubic feet or 3,000 lbs. of material, making them one of the strongest containers we carry. Given the strength of these containers, they last for quite a while, which is why we always have a hard time finding them in used. However, we recently came upon three truckloads of these in great shape physically but required a little work done as far as cleaning. Once they have gone through our high-pressure power washer, they will be good as new for a fraction of the price. This allows farmers, breweries, wineries, etc., to purchase lifelong containers with confidence that they are getting a great product for a great price.
This is the life cycle of the container that we here at RPP Containers love to see! By coming upon these containers, we are not only reducing our carbon footprint by not disposing of these in landfills, but we are also contributing to the life cycle of multiple agricultural industries. If you or someone you know is interested in selling old containers or is in the market to purchase used bulk containers, please reach out to a sales representative who can assist.
