Supply Chains and the Containers they Utilize

supply chains

When searching for a container, many customers have an idea of the style and size they need, but what if there is a better option for your application based on your supply chain? Whether you are in farming, manufacturing, packaging, food processing, recycling, transportation or another field, there are certain container options available based on your specific need or supply chain.  Does your application need FDA approval or stronger sidewalls?  Do you have liquid material that needs a bottom discharge container? Whatever the case may be, we can help point you in the right direction based on your needs and give some insight based on your supply chain’s needs!

agricultural bulk bins

When looking for the best container in the food industry, whether it be farming, packaging, processing, or preparing, an FDA approval is often needed or preferred. In the farming  and food industries our FDA approved Harvest Bins and Solid Wall Bulk Bins are extremely popular. Our Harvest Bins  offer a breathable, vented option, which is great for harvesting fruits and vegetables. The ventilated Harvest Bins help improve air flow while keeping your product protected both in the field and during transportation.

solid wall bulk bins

If you are looking for a solid interior container our Solid Wall Bulk Bins are a great option for food processing and packaging. The solid interior of these containers makes cleaning extremely easy and far less likely to have contamination issues that is often found in porous wood options. Are you looking for a taller solid wall option or possibly a collapsible option that is also FDA approved? Our DuraGreen Reusable Plastic Gaylords might work best for you! Often found in the food and beverage industries, our Reusable Plastic Gaylords are also known to be used for applications including powders, flowable materials and even meat.

flowable materials

When dealing with dense material or resin, such as pellets, side wall pressure can be an issue for a standard collapsible container. The DuraGreen Plastic Gaylord with Steel Reinforcements includes a double wall construction that allows the container to hold up to 2,500 lbs. and offer that additional sidewall reinforcement needed to get the job done.

For those applications that require liquid storage and handling, our Rail Certified Reusable Plastic Gaylord with Cover offers both a bottom discharge and top discharge option. Rated at 3,300 lbs., this high-strength, collapsible bulk container is the strongest solution in our product line.  It is durable enough for the toughest transportation conditions while keeping your product safe.

CenterFlow Hopper Bottom

Another popular application is seed or fine material.  The Seed Box CenterFlow Hopper Bottom container is great for the obvious applications such as seed, but we have also seen customers use these for pellets, golf balls, pet food, powders or anything that can fit through the 8.1” x 10.7” chute opening.  Durable enough to store outside, the Seed Box containers come with an easy-to-use slide gate to empty the contents, reinforced crossbars that help evenly distribute the material, and steel corner hit plates to protect from forklift tines.
